Company Spotlight: JONATHAN WIERZBICKI

MMT Company Spotlight: Meet Jonathan Wierzbicki

No stranger at all to the stage, Jonathan studied theatre at the University of Scranton, and has acted and directed in both community and regional theatre for over 30 years. Previous directing credits include Sunday in the Park with George, Godspell, Equus, The Pillowman, Death of a Salesman, To Kill a Mockingbird, Other Desert Cities, Inherit the Wind, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Rhinoceros, And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little, Small Craft Warnings, Not About Nightingales, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Boys Next Door, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Welcome to the Moon, and the Nerd.  Here at Music Mountain, you have seen his direction on stage in Clue and the mountie award-winning production of Something Rotten as well as on stage in Hello Dolly, Elf, and many more!

Now a physician currently residing in Flemington when he is not running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, Jonathan got his start with Music Mountain Theatre playing FDR in Annie, and has now been involved in around one dozen productions on the MMT stage.

Jonathan’s favorite performance at MMT to far has been performing the role of Max in The Producers. His favorite show that he has seen at Music Mountain?  “The Drowsy Chaperone!”  Looking to the future, Jonathan would love to play absolutely any role in Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical drama, Sunday in the Park with George.

When asked about the best part of being involved with MMT, he says, “It is the wonderful, collaborative, professional atmosphere offered at MMT.” His biggest takeaway? “That everyone's very best effort is put into each and every show that hits the Music Mountain stage.”

Outside of working and performing, Jonathan enjoys snowboarding, playing Texas Hold’em, and golfing.

We are so happy that Jonathan has been involved both on stage and off at Music Mountain Theatre for many years, and look forward to his return to directing next season’s “Deathtrap” in the fall of 2025!
